Nice Pictures, But Shallow and Old Fashioned The positive side of the book are the pictures and description of the developing fetus which accounts for a significant chunk of the book. If you are looking for a the mainstream medical perspective on pregnancy, including alot of information about "standard care" which includes, birth interventions of every sort, strollers and so forth, then this book is for you. The text is straightforward and easy to understand and it takes you step by step through the medical viewpoint. It has some dabbles in more holistic views, discussing homebirth, midwives, slings, and yoga, but these aren't the main thrust of the text.

I'm Pregnant Easy to follow text takes you step by step through the pregnancy. You can see where you are each week, and read forward to see what you might expect next. Great book for anyone expecting.
Great information and pictures! I just got this book yesterday and have already breezed through the first section and into the first four weeks. I love the information and the pictures are great! I'm a very visual learner so trying to imagine what the baby might look like at this point just from reading a description would be awful! It is very easy to read, positive and helpful so far! I'm looking forward to finishing it!
Best photos of growing baby! This book has the greatest photos of your growing baby and tells you week by week how big it is and what organs are being formed. This is the book I give to friends who become pregnant.
Fabulous pregnancy book This book is great for the first time, or multiple mom. Unlike the What to Expect book, this one is written to encourage a healthy attitude toward pregnancy, not to encourage fear like What to Expect. The book is honest and helpful, in fact, I often find myself waking up with a question in mind and getting my answer in minutes so I can return to a blissful sleep. The images in the book are wonderful, as well, which has really helped when I have needed to explain things to the father ;). I think Regan must have some background in the European approach to pregnancy... which is to say that pregnancy is a beautiful and natural thing to behold!
